Preparation Instructions:
This Austin Texas peach cobbler recipe was mailed to us from Wilmer of Austin Texas. To get the recipe started, please preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or 190 degrees Celsius. Next pull out your three quart baking dish, and then melt your softened real unsalted butter within it. Next take out a mixing bowl, and whisk together your canned sliced skinless peaches in syrup, on quarter cup of white all purpose baking flour, pure liquid vanilla extract, half a cup of white superfine baking sugar, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Once your cobbler filling has been adequately mixed up, evenly pour it into your baking dish. Next take out another mixing bowl, and then add into it one cup of white all purpose baking flour, half a cup of white superfine baking sugar, pure baking powder, kosher salt, fresh ground cinnamon, and cold fresh whole milk. Beat these ingredients together until you have a thick and even cobbler dough. Layer this dough over the top of your sugared peaches, then sprinkle the top of the dough with the natural Turbinado cane sugar. Your cobbler is ready to bake, so slide it into your oven for forty minutes, or until the dough is crisp, and the peaches have caramelized. Serve the dessert warm with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thanks again for browsing around our website.
