Preparation Instructions:
Many thanks to Magnus of Reykjavik Iceland for sending us this delicious simple peach cobbler recipe. To get started, please take out a nine by thirteen inch baking dish. Melt your cold unsalted butter within the dish. Next take out a large mixing bowl, and then gradually stir together the white all purpose baking flour, one cup of white pure cane sugar, pure baking powder, and Celtic sea salt. Once these ingredients have been thoroughly mixed up, you will then want to stir in the cold whole milk. Once your peach cobbler batter is thick and creamy, pour it over the top of the melted butter, but do not stir it together. Next take out a medium size saucepan, and then pour into it the last cup of white pure cane sugar, fresh sliced skinless peaches, and fresh squeezed lime juice. Bring these contents to a boil over medium high heat, stirring often to prevent any burning from taking place. Once the cobbler is syrupy, pour it over the top of the batter in the baking dish, however again do not stir the ingredients together. Lastly you should sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg over the top of the dessert. You are now ready to bake the cobbler, so slide the dish into the oven, and bake it at 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or 190 degrees Celsius for forty five minutes, or until the surface of the cobbler is golden and crisp.
