Preparation Instructions:
I would like to thank Sebastian from St. John's Newfoundland for submitting this peach cobbler a la mode recipe. To begin please preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or 205 degrees Celsius. Next you will want to melt the cold unsalted real butter, then pour it into a nine by thirteen inch baking dish. For the next step, please take out a heavy bottom saucepan, and then add into it the canned sliced skinless peaches in syrup, fresh squeezed lime juice, liquid almond extract, lemon zest, and one cup of white pure cane sugar. Bring these contents to a boil while continuously stirring, then remove the pan from the burner. Gradually pour this peach filling over the top of the melted butter located within the baking dish. Be sure to level out the filling using a butter knife or flat mixing spoon. Next take out a large mixing bowl, and then add in the large fresh whole beaten egg, pure baking powder, powdered cinnamon, coarse ground table salt, ground cloves, white all purpose baking flour, pure coconut milk, powdered nutmeg, and one cup of white pure cane sugar. Using an electric cake mixer, whip these ingredients together until you have an even and uniform cobbler batter. You will then want to evenly spread this batter out over the top of the peach filling. At this point your dessert is ready to bake, so slide the baking dish into the oven for half an hour, or until the surface of your cobbler becomes golden brown and crisp.
