Preparation Instructions:
I would to thank Rose from Las Vegas Nevada for sending us this great peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream recipe. To get started, please preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 Celsius. Next take out a saucepan, and then add in the canned sliced peaches with syrup, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, one cup of white superfine sugar, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and pure vanilla extract. Bring these contents to a boil, then remove the pan from the burner. By now your oven has heated, so add the softened unsalted margarine to a nine by thirteen inch baking dish, and then slide it into the oven just until the margarine has melted. Next pour the peach filling from the saucepan over the top of the melted margarine. Next take out a large mixing bowl, and then add in one cup of white superfine sugar, white all purpose baking flour, cold fresh nonfat milk, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, fine ground kosher salt, and pure baking soda. Using an electric cake mixer, rapidly stir up these ingredients until a thick and even batter is formed. You will then want to evenly spread the batter over the top of the peach filling. Your cobbler is now ready to bake, so slide it into the oven for fifty minutes, or until the crust it crisp and golden brown. Next let the cobbler cool for about five minutes, then you can serve it. Place a large scoop of old fashioned vanilla ice cream over the top of each serving. That concludes this recipe, we hope you enjoyed it.
