Preparation Instructions:
Our staff received this unique peach cobbler mix in a jar recipe from Abraham of Pierre South Dakota. For the jar process, you will need one 1.5 pint canning jar. Pour into the jar the dark brown cane sugar, white all purpose baking flour, Tahitian vanilla sugar, fresh ground cinnamon, fresh ground nutmeg, table salt, and white superfine sugar. Be sure to layer the ingredients as stated above. Next seal the jar, then place a decorative cloth and ribbon over the top. The jars can be given to friends and family as simple gifts, along with canned peaches. To prepare the peach cobbler, take out a nine by thirteen inch baking dish, and then add in the cold unsalted real butter. Heat the dish so that the butter melts, then set it aside. Next take out a large mixing bowl, and then pour the contents from the jars into the mixing bowl. Next gradually stir in the cold fresh 2% milk, stirring until your cobbler batter is thick and creamy. Next evenly pour the batter over the top of the melted butter, but do not mix the butter in. Next take out a mixing bowl, and then add in the canned sliced peaches in syrup and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Stir these ingredients together, then pour it into the baking the dish, while lightly mixing the fruit into the batter. Next you will want to bake the dessert at 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius for forty minutes, or until the cobbler's surface is golden brown. Thanks for visiting.
