Preparation Instructions:
Many thanks to Tom from New York City New York for submitting this best ever peach cobbler recipe. To get started, please preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next take out a large mixing bowl, and then stir together the canned sliced peaches with syrup, two tablespoons of melted unsalted real butter, a dash of freshly ground cinnamon, and a dash of freshly ground nutmeg. Moving along, next dissolve the pure cornstarch in the cold bottled water, then stir it into the cobbler mixture. Next take out another mixing bowl, and then whisk together the cold fresh 2% milk, the white superfine baking sugar, white all purpose baking flour, pure baking powder, and fine ground table salt. Stir these ingredients together until you have a smooth mixture. Next take out a nine by thirteen inch glass baking dish, and then melt inside of it half a cup of unsalted real butter. Next pour the batter over the top of the butter, then layer on the peach mixture. Finally you will want to sprinkle over the top of the cobbler some cinnamon and nutmeg. Your cobbler is now ready to bake, so slide it into the oven for one hour, or until you can stab it with a knife, and the knife comes out clean. Serve this dessert dish with a side of cold vanilla ice cream.
